Nida Art Colony
Contemporary art practice and art-based radio broadcasts – Neringa FM – on-line to the world but is in Lithuanian language only.
The colony is a department of Kaunas University – the ‘Klaipeda dept’. Linus = manager for 5.5 years, but the new centre opened only 1.5 years ago.

Overall the study group looked at communication and participation within communities.

On this day all travelers (WE ) stood up, eat and went on day trip. We were in Exhibition hall and Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre ( http://www.kulturpolis.lt/en/main.php/id/1 ). In Exhibition hall was 11 artist exhibition. It is project “Between”. Works of art in the exhibition – includes a new abstraction, the art of the new specification.

Before this trip I knew only about several organizations and sill that information wasn‘t so detailed. As it could be expected the cultural animation isn‘t developed in Lithuania, but there are some cultural animation traits in certain organizations.

The trip was very wonderful, exciting and inspiring. Since studying art criticism, I am interested in education – the trip was worthwhile, it broadened my knowledge. This is an opportunity that was worth using. I am glad that I was selected to travel to Localize project last trip.
